Amid inflationary fears, the Ukraine war and skyrocketing materials costs, even high-end pool and spa customers are balking at prices for new pools and spas.

Dan Lenz is a high-end pool and spa builder who has graced industry top 10 lists for years. During his 36 years in the industry, je’s never had a problem with customers balking at price—until now.

In one instance, after his crew dug the hole for a $100,000 pool project, the customer called and let Lenz know he was uneasy about moving forward. Three day later, the customer “ghosted” Lenz. Then he got a call from the customers’ attorney.  In the end, the project was cancelled.
